Your beauty floods me, fills me, flows through
Every vein and nerve and cell,
I wonder do you feel my eyes
Upon that flesh you wear so well?

You cannot see me in my darkness,
Coiled and tense, and fit to break,
You come down to me, clean and true
And leave me spinning in your wake.

With foundless fears and bitter truths
Men have fought to see me dead,
Yet still you come to learn, to question,
Not of my brain - but me instead.

I see you feel it, fear it, want
And fight it, blank it, stamp it out.
The dark - it scares you, stirs you, sears,
For that's what we are all about.

No matter that they think you strange
To love me, black, and dark as night,
For if it please you, if it helps,
The world is wrong and this is right.

You do not fear me, do not resist,
I'm haunted by your warrior soul.
Within you spell, I find I can do
Nothing less, than take you whole.
