Exhale, inhale, exhale, swelling ...
Darkness pervades, scalding.
Views of charcoal,
Without substance,
Shadowed moral,
His only sustenance.
Pages yellowed and obsolete,
Words that his thirst delete.
Rooms visited and tedious,
Even in memory so vivacious.
But what's this?
Dark, blue, coral and cream,
Eager to please, visage that beam.
The nightmare of idleness fades.
A new challenge that evades
All but his perception.
An affection in its conception.
He revels.
