Francis Dolarhyde had just returned from Hong Kong with his new tattoo. Although happy with the results, the tattoo seemed unfinished. He desired a more vivid color in the tail part, which was why he now lay flat on his stomach on the chair in a local tattoo parlour. It was the second day, and it was almost over.
As he was about to pay the artist, Francis realized his wallet was empty.
“I’m so sorry; will you accept a check?”
“Sure, no problem.”
“Great! Who do I make it payable to?”
“I’d better spell my name; it’s J-A-M-E G-U-M-B.”
